Programs and Activities

The programs and activities we sponsor reflect an emphasis on finding thoughtful and authentic ways to live one’s faith. We know that we don’t have all the answers, so we value diverse opinion and we hope for the wisdom to recognize and learn from our mistakes.

Spiritual Growth

As seekers, spiritual growth, personal healing and social transformation are also important to us. In small groups and as individuals, we support one another on life’s journey.  In community, we challenge ourselves to find ways to engage constructively with critical issues like the environment, global politics and local poverty.

  
 

Children Play a Big Part

We value their presence and believe that their actions and words (however loud!) help point the way. On Sundays, our two minister’s alternate between leading the adult’s worship and the children’s program. They work hands-on with our dedicated teachers to provide a class that celebrates creativity, energy, learning and family fun.

Our Weekly Message

The weekly message offers a relevant, contemporary perspective on the Bible. It challenges us to grow our capacity to act with love, caring, compassion, generosity, acceptance and justice towards all.

  
 

Our Church is More than a Building

It’s a community that welcomes all, regardless of age, race, gender, language, sexual orientation, and faith.  At Cadboro Bay United we strive to bring life to our worship and worship into our lives. Sunday services are alive with coffee, children, music, laughter and song.
